Looks to me like proof-of-authority [1] [2]. I think this is effectively what USDC and many proposed CBDCs use. I am all for sustainability but I think the use of "wood" here is at best a distraction or a misunderstanding of how a blockchain prevents double-spending. Looks to me like Woodcoin should be ignored.
