> The drum beat is just the Rock 1 preset of the Suzuki Omnichord
I wonder if you need to pay royalties or get permission for that kind of thing... or is license to use it commercially included in the price of the instrument?
IANAL, but you don't need a license to publish yourself playing a piano or a guitar, and synthesizers are also musical instruments. That said, I'm not sure that's ever been tested in court, so if someone wanted to be a right-wing asshole about it, like take over Suzuki and try to get royalties from every hit song that used it, I guess it might be interesting.
No it's not, forums were around on the internet long before the term "social media" existed. Same with comments on a newspaper article, they are not social media.
Just because the term "social media" came later and was popularised by certain kinds of social media networks, it doesn't mean it doesn't encompass regular old fashioned forums too.
What is this right now other than a social interaction about a piece of media (the article)? This is a very arbitrary distinction for you to draw.
I'm think GP means we could launch a rocket to the place where Voyager thinks Earth is supposed to be (where its antenna is pointing towards) and fire off a signal to tell it to move.
There are (1) people like J.K. Rowling, (2) people like Kiwi Farms, and (3) people who can’t tell the difference between (2) and (3). (3) likes to use the word “transphobic” indiscriminately.
To be fair I don’t know if the people involved are complaining about (1) or (2) or both but they are using a word that I am putting in quotes.
